The Girls Club Alliance is our Junior Board of volunteers who support the Girls Club through mentorship opportunities and fundraising. Junior Board members are a crucial component in providing free and fabulous programs to girls from low-income families.

If you believe in what we do, have ideas and talents to share, and love to fundraise, this could be the right opportunity for you to help make a real difference in the world!

I firmly believe in putting in the work to better both my immediate community and society at large. Now more than ever, that means utilizing my privilege to lift up other women of color. A co-worker introduced me to the amazing community of The Girls Club in late 2016, and I’ve been honored to support the work & mission ever since.

I love everything the LESGC stands for. Being a mentor has been one of the most profound experiences of my life. It has made me realize you can never underestimate what an impact even one conversation can have. I also love this neighborhood, It has been such a vibrant & inspiring home to me the past six years. This has been a rewarding way for me to give back to the community.

When I moved to New York City from Iowa I was looking for ways to meet people. There’s really no better way to build your personal community than getting involved with the one around you. One of my first nights in NYC I was told about the Girls Club through a quick interaction and knew it was the right fit after hearing about all of the incredible opportunities the LESGC provides so many young women.

After graduating from Middlebury in 2019, I moved to the city and someone at my school told me about the Girls Club. I was looking for a way to get involved, connect with my community, and the Club seemed like the perfect place! I also am a huge advocate for organizations that provide tangible, ongoing support.
